Today, Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA) participated in the specialized international webinar:
“Presenting with Confidence: Helping Women in Maritime Deliver with Greater Impact,”
presented by Norton Rose Fulbright – United Kingdom, with the support of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA International), via virtual platform.
The webinar was held at 1:00 PM London time (3:00 PM Egypt time) and focused on developing professional presentation skills, strengthening self-confidence, and enhancing impactful communication techniques, with the aim of supporting women working in the maritime sector and advancing their leadership and professional capabilities at the international level.
This participation reflects AWIMA’s commitment to engaging with leading global initiatives dedicated to women’s empowerment and strengthening the presence of Arab women across all areas of the maritime industry, in alignment with the vision of the International Maritime Organization and the efforts of WISTA International in preparing a more influential and distinguished generation of women maritime leaders.
AWIMA emphasized that such high-level international webinars represent an important platform for acquiring advanced practical tools that enhance the capabilities of Arab women working in the maritime sector, strengthen their professional impact, and support their confident participation in leadership and decision-making positions.
