UAE Hands Over World Maritime Day Flag to South Korea in a Prestigious Global Ceremony

In a prestigious and celebratory atmosphere, the United Arab Emirates marked a symbolic and historic moment during its hosting of the World Maritime Day celebrations by handing over the event flag to the Republic of Korea, the host country for the upcoming edition.
The flag was officially handed over by H.E. Eng. Hessa Ahmed Hamdan Al Malek, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure for Maritime Transport Affairs in the UAE, and former President of the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA), reflecting the strong spirit of international cooperation and continuity among member states of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
This long-standing maritime tradition represents a powerful symbol of global collaboration, reinforcing collective efforts to enhance maritime safety, security, and sustainability, while highlighting the UAE’s leading role in advancing the maritime transport industry and shaping global policies and regulations.
