Prof. Nevine Abou Shabana, AWIMA Egypt Member, Participates in SIPA 2025 in Algeria

Prof. Nevine Abou Shabana, a member of the Egyptian National Chapter of the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA Egypt), participated in the International Exhibition of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SIPA 2025), held at the Mohammed Ben Ahmed Convention Centre in Oran, Algeria, from 6 to 9 November 2025.
The 10th edition of the event focused on the blue economy, featuring workshops, conferences, and exhibitions aimed at fostering innovation and partnerships in fisheries and aquaculture.
Prof. Abou Shabana took part as a professional expert in technical workshops and roundtable discussions, where she shared her expertise on innovative aquaculture practices, particularly integrated aquaculture in Algerian oases, sustainability in fish production, and advancements in product quality enhancement.
Her participation contributed to knowledge exchange and strengthened collaboration among industry professionals, addressing key challenges such as climate change and sustainable resource management.
The event also showcased the contributions of the National Center for Research and Development of Fisheries and Aquaculture (CNRDPA), highlighting its initiatives in promoting sustainable fishing techniques and advancing aquaculture technologies.
This participation reflects the active role of AWIMA Egypt members in supporting research, innovation, and the advancement of women’s contributions within the blue economy and maritime-related sectors.
