Participation of the President of AWIMA Egypt in the “Distinguished Success Stories” Session at ICOMES 2025

The Arab Women in Maritime Association – Egypt National Chapter (AWIMA Egypt) participated in a distinguished panel session titled “Distinguished Success Stories”, as part of the International Conference on Machine Intelligence and Smart Innovations (ICOMES 2025), organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria during October 2025, under the theme “Towards a Smart and Sustainable Future.”
The session was held under the theme:
“Advancing the role of women in STEM towards a more sustainable and inclusive world,”
and featured inspiring women leaders from around the globe, sharing their experiences in innovation, technology, and leadership.
The conference brought together participants from 25 countries, under the patronage of H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and with international support from IEEE and its affiliated organizations.
The Academy described ICOMES 2025 as a “gateway to the future of innovation,” aiming to strengthen international partnerships, support research, and empower future generations.
AWIMA Egypt’s participation reflects its commitment to women’s empowerment and strengthening their role in STEM and the maritime sector, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
