Honoring Eng. Noha El-Tekatly, Member of AWIMA Egypt National Chapter, with the Excellence Award in Marine Environmental Protection on World Maritime Day 2025

Eng. Noha Abdullah Hassan El-Tekatly, a member of the Egyptian National Chapter of the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA Egypt), participated in the World Maritime Day 2025 celebrations held on 20 September 2025, where she was honored among a distinguished group of maritime leaders and experts.
She received the Excellence Award in Marine Environmental Protection Response, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to environmental sustainability within the maritime sector.
One of her key achievements includes her role in developing environmental measurement laboratories at the Port of Alexandria, considered the first of their kind among ports in the Middle East, enhancing environmental monitoring capabilities and supporting compliance with international standards.
This recognition highlights the growing role of women in the maritime sector and their impactful contributions to environmental protection and sustainable development.
It also underscores the importance of empowering female professionals to drive innovation and sustainability across the maritime industry.
