AWIMA will take the opportunity to support Pacific Women In Maritime Association (PacWIMA).
To highlight the Day for Women In Maritime (D4WIM) from 18 may 2021 (one week) by the online campaign.

The D4WIM is to be held on 18 May annually and is a Pacific initiative that was borne from two Regional Conferences for Women in Maritime, the first in Tonga in 2016 and later in Papua New Guinea in 2018.

The Theme of this year : "Women in Maritime: Resilience and Leadership amidst a global pandemic"

Here’s what you can do to show your support.

Please use An Infographic template shared to all Regional WIMA’s
AWIMA members, you can insert your picture in and have it as your profile picture on your social media platforms leading up to and during the campaign.

Facebook Profile Photoframe
This will be made available on Monday 18th May 2021, please follow guideline to get access to this Facebook Profile Photoframe.

If you have a Facebook account, change your profile picture to show your friends that you support women in maritime, and intending to join the maritime sector and encourage Governments, Maritime Administrations, the Ship Owners, Ship Operators, all relevant agencies to promote and take action to celebrate the day meaningfully; creating equal opportunities for young girls and women to become informed leaders in the maritime sector.

Guidelines to the FACEBOOK profile frame
To add a frame to your Page's profile picture:
1. Click your profile picture
2. Click ‘Updated Profile Picture
3. Click Add Frame
4. Search for a frame on the left hand side by entering the frame's name D4WIM
5. Choose the frame you want to use from the results.
6. Click Use as Profile Picture.
7. Set the expiration date for the frame. e.g. one week, etc.
8. Click “Use as profile picture” to save
