AWIMA Lebanon Participates in Leadership and Women Empowerment Programme at WMU

The Lebanese National Chapter of the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA Lebanon) participated in a specialized training programme on Leadership and Women Empowerment in the Maritime Sector, organized by the World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden, during 9 Sept -22 October2025.
The programme focused on developing leadership skills and project management, while promoting women’s empowerment in the maritime transport sector through an interactive learning environment.
It provided a valuable platform for professional and personal growth, reinforcing leadership based on vision, collaboration, and breaking barriers toward a more inclusive maritime industry.
The experience also strengthened participants’ commitment to empowering women in navigation and port sectors, encouraging their active role in leadership and decision-making.
This participation reflects AWIMA Lebanon’s commitment to building women’s capacities and enhancing their role in advancing the maritime sector.
