AWIMA Jordan National Chapter Participates in Edu Gate Exhibition in Alexandria to Promote Women in Maritime Education

The Jordan National Chapter of the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA Jordan) participated in Edu Gate – the International Universities Exhibition in Egypt and the Middle East, held in Alexandria from 6 to 8 August 2025, as part of its commitment to promoting maritime education and attracting young talent.
The exhibition is a major international platform bringing together Arab and international universities, targeting high school graduates and providing valuable opportunities to explore various academic fields, particularly maritime studies.
Through its participation, AWIMA Jordan, in collaboration with the Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies (JAMS), successfully attracted a significant number of students to pursue maritime education, contributing to the growth of this vital sector.
The initiative also focused on encouraging young women to enter the maritime field, challenge stereotypes, and demonstrate their ability to succeed in traditionally male-dominated professions.
This participation reflects AWIMA’s commitment to empowering women through education and creating new pathways for their active involvement in building a more inclusive and balanced maritime future.
