Awima Celebrateing the international Women's day 2021 with Focus Group AFRICA.

On the eighth of March, the world celebrates International Women's Day every year, to highlight the historical value of women in various fields in order to pursue their rights.
This meeting is considered as a celebration of listing the achievements of every woman and the importance of her participation in society and seeking to expand the scope of her efforts and fruitful results towards excellence in order to raise the status of society. What distinguishes this day is the announcement of women's efforts for the advancement of society in their countries and communities.


Important topics affecting the spirit and mind of women working in the maritime sector were discussed at the African platform.
The maximum benefit was made from these fruitful discussions that shed light on the leadership role of women, and dealt with the different perspectives of guidance and leadership and the diversity of roles for women in the maritime field. They also shared the experiences of seafarers and their leadership capabilities while confronting the Corona pandemic.


And in conclusion, MS. Shireen Galal, Director of the Arab Women's League in Egypt, sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the preparation of this meeting, including the International Maritime Organization, Head of Africa, WIMAs in Africa, WISTA International, NWAs in Africa, and the honorable participants. This is a successful model for joint regional action that promotes cooperation and exchange of best practices in the maritime industry. This group has the authority to facilitate the implementation of the International Maritime Organization’s decisions regarding “Save the Maritime World Heritage of 2019; and achieve a barrier-free work environment for women in the maritime sector.”


This is a successful model for joint regional action that enhances cooperation and exchange of experiences for the maritime transport industry, provided that our vision is to meet the needs of our regional community of suitable human elements and appropriate trainers for the progress of our countries and achieving sustainable development to achieve the greatest gains for the countries and our societies and to ensure prosperity for all. . Moreover, and most importantly, it marks a bright start for the return of the cooperative spirit to our regional work.
