Active Participation of AWIMA Egypt in Alexandria Media Complex Seminar

As part of the Arab Women in Maritime Association’s commitment to raising awareness and promoting women’s positive participation in public life, a delegation from the Egyptian National Chapter (AWIMA Egypt) took part in a seminar organized by the Alexandria Media Complex on Thursday, 16 October 2025, in cooperation with Hawa Magazine and the Ana Masria Foundation, held at the complex headquarters in Anfoushi, Alexandria.
The delegation was headed by Ms. Marwa Hafez, President of the Egyptian National Chapter and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Ana Masria Foundation. The seminar was attended by a distinguished group of female leaders and media figures, including Ms. Samar El-Desouky, Editor-in-Chief of Hawa Magazine, Dr. Amal Ibrahim, Family Relations and Human Development Consultant, Dr. Iman Hashad, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education at Sadat City University, and Dr. Shaimaa Ismail, Human Development Expert.
In her remarks, Ms. Marwa Hafez highlighted the pioneering role of Egyptian and Arab women in supporting development and contributing to shaping the future of society, noting that women working in the maritime sector represent a strong model of dedication, responsibility, and active citizenship.
The seminar concluded with several recommendations emphasizing the importance of community awareness and encouraging women to exercise their rights and actively participate in various aspects of life.
